You bastards!!!!
YOU SONS OF B******* DIRTY BASTARDS!!!!!
Beyond anger at this all to much disseminated stereotype. This one is courtesy of the Los Angeles Times in its article covering the legalization of gay marriages. Not to be outdone and as a matching bookend, CNN is running a live action segment about a New England couple. This may come as a shock to the larger gay community, its political machines and its pandering Negro admirers, but Afro American and other Diasporic men (and women) DO live lives and have lived a history FAR OUTSIDE your gaze without being impressed by you and wanting to bed you.
With teeth grinding and fists clinched, I am angry you chose to mark an historic event for gay and lesbian folk in this country by portraying a stereotype. I guess it wasn't enough to have an historic presumptive presidential nominee bending over backwards to kiss your behinds at the expense of always ignoring Afro Diasporic at what seems every turn. I guess it isn't enough that most of the leading powers that be in Afro American gay culture will bend over backwards to accommodate you. I guess it isn't enough that after being reduced to their sexual appendages, far too many Afro Diasporic gays will turn on one another, uphold a status quo against them, and suffer slights with a broad Uncle Tom smile to cater to your insincere altruistisms saying we are all ONE.
Why should I be surprised anymore. I 've learned long time ago one cannot argue morality with those who show little of it every day.
Update: CNN has briefly shown and interviewed an handsome Afro American male couple on its Situation Room.

Speaking of stereotypes. I was watching the View, last week (yes, I watch the View). During their Hot Topics segment they were talking about an article about how heterosexual couples can learn alot from homosexual couples when it comes to having fights in their relationships.
Where you aware that homosexuals do not revert to petty name calling, and hurtful words when they fight. The ladies, attributed this to the fact that when two men get together their neither one plays a specific role in the relationship, thus there is no need for fighting about such trival things such as bills, cleaning the house, who is going to take out the trash, ect. Wow, I never knew.
Yes, yes, I know this is (place word of choice here). I just sat and stared at the television in disbelief. To whoopies credit, she did say that she did not believe it and that she believed that wheither straight or gay, people pretty much fight the same in relationships and over pretty much the same issues.
What the F is wrong with the ladies on the View. They should have gotten a butt load of letters on that topic, because it was the most ignorant thing I think I have ever heard uttered on TV. With the exception of Sherri saying that she did not know if the world was flat or not.
See how stereotypes get passed on?
Damn right, baby! You tell 'em through those gritted teeth, tiger. You tell 'em...
I feel you on the VIEW thing, I watch too but missed that episode. Pity.
But there is always at least one person at that table who's opinion is wildly off-base. Usually its Hasselbeck, or Sherry. But the beauty of it is they have someone with a rational mind to balance it out. Thank God for Whoopie.
Having said that, I'll leave it at that. But its great to see this blog up and running again -- you said you were going on hiatus. You shoulda let a brotha know ....
